With the end of summer just around the corner, the number of weekends left for barbecues might be limited. We wanted to make sure you're prepared to go out with a bang, which is why we compiled a list of delicious drinks that can be made big-batch just for the occasion. So grab a big enough pitcher and let's get mixing!

Sangria

You can experiment with so many different varieties, like blood orange, peach or blueberry. Nearly any fruit you like or have around the house can belong in this drink, and the longer you leave it to settle in the fridge, the better it gets, so make it the night before!

1 750ml bottle of red wine

500 ml lemonade

1 orange, sliced

1 lemon, sliced

Another easy big-batch cocktail that is bound to be a crowd-pleaser is a Gin Spritzer. With all its different recipes, there's a lot to choose from, but we're particularly partial to ones with elderflower.

Recipe:

1 part gin

1 part cordial of your choice

4 parts soda water

lime wedges (to garnish)

Southern Comfort and Lime

This drink is another two ingredient offering that you can make easily without much preparation. The sweetness of the peach balances out the lime juice perfectly for an excellent barbecue drink.

2 parts Southern Comfort peach liquor

1 part lime juice

A cocktail you can make both alcoholic or virgin, lemonade is great for a party, because it is an all-time classic and takes basically no time. Add whiskey to make it boozy or leave it up to your guests to decide whether they’d like to add a shot of spirit in theirs.

Recipe (10 servings):

  • 900ml water

  • 175ml fresh-squeezed lemon juice

  • 175g granulated sugar, or to taste

  • lemon slices and mint leaves to garnish (optional)
