Four Easy and Exciting Gin Cocktails, with No Tonic Involved - World Gin Day Inspiration

This Saturday is World Gin Day. We’re so excited for it, we decided to share our favourite gin cocktails with you. The official festivities might be a few days away but it’s always better to be well-prepared, so you can even try out these appetising cocktails beforehand! Or why not celebrate twice?

 

Gin Collins
 

Passion Fruit, Lemon and Gin Collins

If you're into something a little sweeter, gin is the right spirit for you - and there are all sorts of recipes out there. Our favourites for summer are definitely ones including passion fruit!

Ingredients (makes 2 servings)

  • 60ml dry gin

  • 60ml fresh lemon juice

  • the pulp of 2 passion fruits

  • 30ml sugar syrup

  • 2 handfuls ice cubes

  • soda water to top

  1. Combine ingredients and shake or stir well

  2. Pour, top up with soda water and garnish with lemon

  3. Serve and enjoy!

Negroni
 

Negroni

Equal parts gin, vermouth and Campari make this a simple classic. With its bittersweet taste, the Negroni is a beloved drink and certainly one of our favourite cocktails.

Ingredients

  • 1 part gin

  • 1 part Campari

  • 1 part vermouth rosso

 

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake well

  2. Strain into a cocktail glass

  3. Garnish with a twist of orange peel and enjoy!

Elderflower Collins

Elderflower Collins

A total crowd-pleaser and one of the best drinks to make (and have) is the Elderflower Collins. For an extra kick, BBC Good Food recommend swapping the soda for prosecco, and we can certainly get behind that.

Ingredients

  • 50ml gin

  • 20ml lemon juice

  • 10ml sugar syrup

  • 10ml elderflower cordial

  • Soda

  • Lemon to garnish

  1. Add all ingredients but soda to a shaker filled with ice and shake well.

  2. Strain into a glass and top with soda

  3. Garnish with lemon (lime works well too) and enjoy!

As simple as you can get, the Gimlet only has two ingredients, but aims to please and succeeds. With its amazing variety, you're sure to find a favourite flavour!

Ingredients

  • 50ml gin

  • 25ml cordial of your choice

  1. Shake or stir, serve, and enjoy! So simple, yet so delicious.
